about the artist
She studied Graham and Cunningham techniques in England and USA. She has created many projects and performed her works in Turkey, England, Germany, Holland, Italy and USA. In 35 years of Turkish modern dance scene, she has contributed as a pioneer working as a resident choreographer in National State Opera and Ballet, as well as founding and directing the Yıldız Technical University Modern Dance Department between the years 1998-2008. Currently she is taking her company Istanbul Dance Theatre (IDT+) which she had founded in 2005 to an interdisciplinary level by means of making projects with other artists and herself concentrating on choreography and video installation.
